Systems Thinking

Many changes are now occurring in our lives, in our institutions and in our organisations. While these changes bring benefits, they also bring chaos and problems.

To solve these problems, many of us use analytical thinking. We analyse the problems, break them into their smallest elements and try to solve each one separately. But this does not give long-term solutions as the elements are interlinked. Changing one element will affect another.

By shifting to systems thinking, we move away from seeing single elements and functions to seeing the processes in which they interrelate with one another. It is through this thinking process that will help us find more effective solutions to our complex problems.
